Police: 1 killed, at least 5 hurt in Minneapolis shooting

Police say one person is dead and at least five are injured after a shooting in Minneapolis.

Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder says officers responded to a report of shots fired at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday. He says police arrived and found a number of people who were injured, and one person who was dead. He says other victims were taken to hospitals.

Elder says police believe there were "in excess" of five victims in the shooting, including the person who was killed.

According to Elder, no one was in custody as of late Wednesday. He says police were processing the scene.
