A motorcyclist was injured in a crash involving a school bus and two cars in northeast Minneapolis on Friday morning.

The crash occurred shortly before 7 a.m. near the intersection of Lowry and Central avenues, according to Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson John Elder.

The motorcyclist was pinned under the school bus when emergency responders arrived, Elder said. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with a broken leg and did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.

Children were on the bus at the time of the crash. Police say it was operated by Minnehaha Transport, which didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.
