Yes, it's happening again. A portion of Minnesota Highway 100 in the west metro is closing this weekend.

It's just one of several traffic hassles motorists will encounter this weekend — and early next week, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Highway 100, west metro. Northbound Highway 100 will be shut down from Minnesota Highway 62 to Interstate 394 from 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday.

Interstate 694, Little Canada and Arden Hills. The Lexington Avenue ramp to westbound I-694 closed earlier this week, which will last through later this month. Meanwhile, westbound I-694 traffic between Interstate 35E and Lexington Avenue remains separated by a concrete barrier. Only the right lane offers access to local roads. The ramp from Rice Street to westbound I-694 is closed through November.

U.S. Highway 61 and Minnesota Highway 91, Forest Lake. Access from northbound Highway 61 to eastbound Highway 97 will close beginning Saturday through the rest of the summer.

Plan accordingly for Monday and Tuesday hassles, too.

Interstate 35W, Arden Hills and New Brighton. From 10 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday, southbound I-35W will be down to a single lane up and down the ramps at County Road E2 while crews erect bridge beams for the west end of the new bridge there. Then starting at 10 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday, northbound I-35W will be closed at County Road D while crews erect beams for the east end of the bridge. Traffic will be detoured on Minnesota Highway 36 and Snelling Avenue.
