Get ready, fair foodies — the Minnesota State Fair has unveiled 25 new foods and seven new frozen treats for 2016.

Want some protein mixed with a pastry? Try the candied bacon donut sliders (sliced glazed doughnut holes with thick candied bacon and a chocolate red wine ganache). Or perhaps you're in the mood for some sushi — how about the Spam sushi (grilled Spam, sushi rice, fried egg and wasabi rolled in nori)?

Prefer to stick to more Midwestern fare? There's the Minnesota corn dog, the Iron Range meat and potatoes and macaroni and cheese curds.

Check out the gallery below for a sneak peek at the new food.

Last year, new fair food included the likes of mac and cheese cupcakes, hot tail (roasted pig tail in a scallion ginger sauce) and BBQ pickle ice cream.

The Minnesota State Fair opens Aug. 25 and runs through Labor Day, Sept. 5. Nearly 1.8 million people went to the fair in 2015.
