While security was high for the Ashley Rukes GLBT Pride Parade on Sunday, the mood was both celebratory and somber, as marchers and paradegoers took time to remember the victims of the mass shooting in Orlando earlier this month.

The parade came down Hennepin Ave. in downtown Minneapolis, and ended at Loring Park, where Pride events were held all weekend.

Photojournalist Caroline Yang documented the festivities.
