Search again suspended for man who fell into St. Croix River

Authorities have again suspended the search for a 26-year-old man who slipped and fell into the St. Croix River in eastern Minnesota.

WCCO-TV reports unsafe conditions on the river forced crews to call off the search around noon Saturday. Authorities expect to resume the search Sunday.

Chisago County sheriff's deputies were called Friday night to help find a man who slipped on a rock near a scenic boat tour launch and went into the water.

Darkness and the river's speed and height forced suspension of the search Friday night, but it resumed Saturday around 6 a.m.

The name of the man is being withheld until his family is notified.
