Minneapolis police have 'good leads' in fatal shooting

A man is dead after being shot in north Minneapolis Wednesday morning.

At about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a call that someone had heard gunshots on the 2500 block of Logan Avenue North. Once on the scene, officers found a man lying in the street with a gunshot wound.

The victim was apparently shot while riding a bike, KARE 11 reported.

He was taken to North Memorial Medical Center where he died, police said. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the man, whose name is still unknown.

Minneapolis police are investigating and have "good leads" in the case, the department said in a statement.
