Lost and found: 8-foot snake in McLeod County

If you're the owner of an 8-foot-snake that was captured in Buffalo Creek Park near Glencoe, Minn., over the weekend, please call McLeod County authorities.

On Saturday, sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a huge snake in the park, said a post on the McLeod County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. The snake was caught and turned over to an animal shelter.

If you are indeed the owner, you'll want to sssssstep right up and quickly — the snake will become eligible for adoption if it isn't claimed in five days. Based on Facebook comments, the snake already has a few interested takers.
