The Minnesota Lynx said Thursday the team signed guards Seimone Augustus and Lindsay Whalen to multi-year contract extensions. Details, including the length of the extensions, were not disclosed.

Augustus and Whalen, a Minnesota native who played basketball at the University of Minnesota, have been key players in the team's dominant WNBA run the past few years. The Lynx have won 153 games since 2011, including reaching the WNBA Finals four times and winning a third national title last year.

"We are extremely excited to have extended the contracts of two of our franchise leaders and two of the best players in the WNBA," Lynx Executive Vice President Roger Griffith said in a statement.
