It's confirmed now that 20-year-old Dahir Adan was the young man who committed the knife attack at Crossroads Center mall in St. Cloud over the weekend. After wounding 10 people, Adan was shot dead by an off-duty police officer who happened to be at the mall. 

Adan was previously enrolled at St. Cloud State University, but was not enrolled this semester. Ashish Vaidya is the interim president of St. Cloud State University and he spoke with MPR News host Tom about the how the mall attack has affected the mood on campus and what needs to happen to bring the community together.
