E.L. Doctorow didn't consider himself a political figure when he penned "Ragtime" in 1975, but his writing on police brutality, immigration and race fits seamlessly into the political conversations of today.

Theater Latte Da is keeping these conversations going with a staging of "Ragtime" at the Ritz Theater now through October 23rd.

Seena Hodges, senior director for marketing for Theater Latte Da, joined the MPR News with Kerri Miller to talk about the production.
