Highway 100 closures return to top Twin Cities weekend road woes

It was nice while it lasted.

This weekend marks the return of Minnesota Highway 100 closures in the west metro after a few weeks of respite. It won't be the only headache for motorists, though.

Here's your guide to this weekend's road hassles.

Minnesota Highway 100, St. Louis Park

Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday, both directions of Highway 100 will close between Interstate 394 and Minnesota Highway 62. Ramps will close beginning at 9 p.m. Friday.

After the weekend closure, Highway 100 between Minnetonka and Excelsior boulevards will reopen to two lanes in each direction.

Interstate 494, west metro

Starting at 10 p.m. Friday, southbound I-494 will be closed between Interstate 94/Interstate 694 to I-394. Meanwhile, northbound I-494 will be down to a single lane from Minnesota Highway 55 to I-394. The closures last through 5 a.m. Monday.

Minnesota Highway 77, Eagan

Both directions of Highway 77 will be reduced to a single lane between the river bridge and Minnesota Highway 13 starting at 8 p.m. Friday through Monday morning. Ramps and loops within the project area will also close intermittently through the weekend as needed.
