Record warmth in Minnesota so far in November

The first 10 days of November this year have been the warmest first ten days of November in recorded history for us, here in Minnesota.

The town of Mora, Minn., saw 78 degrees on Nov. 6 — much warmer than usual.

University of Minnesota climatologist Mark Seeley talked with MPR News host Cathy Wurzer about the phenomenon — and added that he's forecasting rain, not snow, for Thanksgiving week.
