Senator Tom Bakk and Representative Joyce Peppin say they want to do what's best for the state, but have different views about what that is.

The Minnesota legislative leaders talk about the politics and policy changes we might expect considering the Republican control of the legislature, DFL governor, Republican president and the Republican controlled Congress that are in place following this year's election.

Bakk will be DFL Senate Minority Leader and Peppin will be GOP House Majority Leader in January.

They spoke November 9, 2016 at the University of Minnesota Humphrey School.

Reporter Rachel Stassen-Berger of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, moderated the event.
