Death of Anoka man, 95, in his home apparent homicide

Authorities are investigating the death of a 95-year-old Anoka man in his home as an apparent homicide.

Police were called Monday morning after the man was discovered dead by a family member dropping off groceries at his home.

The man was last seen alive Thanksgiving evening when his family dropped him off at his home. Authorities say the man lived independently and relied only on his family for help.

Authorities say someone apparently went through the man's home. Only a vague description exists of a male seen in the victim's driveway Saturday morning and leaving the area dressed in "winter clothing."

The name of the victim and other details about his death were not immediately released.
