Gov. Mark Dayton has set a new deadline for a special legislative session: today at noon. 


The regular legislative session is only a couple weeks away, but the governor says they must meet before the holidays to approve about $300 million in premium subsidies for Minnesotans in MNsure's private insurance market. 

The governor has been requesting special sessions for months to vote on two other major bills left over from last session — tax cuts and a public works spending bill — but he said the window of opportunity to vote on those is already over.
