AARP says Republican health plan would hurt older Minnesotans

A key committee in the House approved the Republican health care bill to replace the Affordable Care Act. They voted in the wee hours of Thursday morning after 18 hours of debate.

AARP, an advocacy group for seniors, sent an open letter to Congress saying they do not support the bill. They say it threatens coverage for some of the 38 million Americans they represent.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with AARP Minnesota State Director Will Phillips about how the bill, if passed, would affect older Minnesotans.
