Spring has sprung in Minnesota. All around the state you can find birds singing, flowers blooming and wildlife and humans alike stepping out to enjoy the welcome change in weather.

One of the first signs of spring: the male red-winged blackbirds return and establish territory before the females join them several weeks later. This tiny orphaned melanistic Eastern Grey Squirrel is home tonight with a licensed independent rehabber who provide his feedings around the clock.
