St. Paul school investigates employee accused of improper contact with student

Administrators at a St. Paul school have placed a staff member on leave over possible misconduct involving a student.

The principal at Capitol Hill Gifted and Talented Magnet alerted parents to the incident in an email.

Patrick Bryan wrote that the school learned of what he described as inappropriate communications and actions by an employee involving a student. Bryan said he was unable to provide any additional details about the nature of the alleged misconduct and did not say whether the staff member was a teacher. He said the district launched an investigation and notified the St. Paul Police Department.

Bryan told parents the school learned of the allegations on April 25 and put the staff member on leave the next day. He asked parents to urge their kids to speak to a trusted adult if they had any concerns about the school, and said any feedback or concerns would be taken seriously.
