Minneapolis cyclist dies after crash with van
A woman is dead after her bicycle and a van crashed Thursday morning in Minneapolis' Hawthorne neighborhood, city police said in a statement.
Per the department's release:
The cyclist was heading north on 2nd Street North, and the man driving the van was going west on Lowry Avenue North when they crashed.
Police responded to a call at about 5:45 a.m. North Memorial paramedics took the woman to the hospital, and where she died from her injuries.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office will release the woman's name.
Minneapolis police and the State Patrol are investigating.
