Minn. company begins production on camera -- for guns

A Minnesota company has begun production of a new camera for police officers. While many cops already wear cameras on their bodies, this one is for their guns.

Maple Plain-based Viridian Weapon Technologies calls their invention the "Fact Duty." It's designed to turn on automatically when a gun is pulled from its holster. The hope is that this additional vantage point will provide a better record of interactions between police and the public.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Brian Hedeen, president of Viridian Weapon Technologies.
