Every year, a dedicated group of artists gathers with their pens, colored pencils, watercolors and other instruments of choice to capture the State Fair and its many classic scenes. This year marked the ninth annual Great Minnesota Sketch Together.

The artists braved the rain to roam the fairgrounds, from the Cattle Barn to the Great Big Wheel. Browse a selection of their work below.
