End the statute of limitations on sexual violence?

The #metoo hashtag on social media has raised the visibility of sexual harassment and violence. Local activist Sarah Super wants to harness this wave of attention to change the law.

She recently started a petition asking Minnesota's top legislators to end the statute of limitations for sexual violence crimes in Minnesota.

Under current law, adults must report an assault within six years of the incident if no DNA is collected.

Super discussed her petition with MPR News host Cathy Wurzer.
