A conversation about the U.S. role in the world, featuring President Obama's National Security Advisor Tom Donilon and former Vice President and Ambassador to Japan Walter Mondale.

They both urge a commitment to global leadership, and Donilon says the single most important thing a policymaker can do is to read history.

Donilon said the relationship between the U.S. and China is the principal security and diplomatic challenge of the 21st century. He was in Minnesota on November 7 for a University of Minnesota Humphrey School event moderated by professor Larry Jacobs.
