DFL Gov. Mark Dayton and the Republican-controlled House and Senate will look for some common ground this legislative session. The three-month, election-year session kicked off Tuesday.

The state tax code and public construction projects are two items high on the agenda.

Republican Speaker of the House Kurt Daudt hopes they can move on from last year's court battle over House and Senate operating funds. Daudt told host Mike Mulcahy on Monday that they'll offer up a clean operating bill for Dayton to sign.

Dayton joined host Mike Mulcahy to talk about these issues and more.
