A former employee of the Guthrie has filed discrimination charges against the Minneapolis theater company.

Molly Diers worked in the Guthrie's scene shop for 13 years. She and another carpenter quit in January.

Both said that the department created a hostile work environment and that Guthrie management wasn't doing enough to fix the situation.

Diers charges that she was discriminated against because she's a woman, and that she suffered retaliation for speaking up about inappropriate behavior.

Guthrie management says it expects the investigation will be concluded by the end of April, at which time the findings will be reported to the Board of Directors.
