Vikings expected to sign new quarterback

Not since the Vikings sent a private jet to Mississippi to pick up Brett Favre has the visit by a quarterback been so eagerly anticipated.

Free agent Kirk Cousins is expected to be in the Twin Cities Wednesday to discuss signing with the Vikings. A number of media outlets are reporting that Cousins is ready to accept the Vikings' offer of a three-year $84 million deal.

Ben Goessling, who covers the Vikings for the Star Tribune, discussed the quarterback situation with MPR News host Cathy Wurzer.
