Coldest start to April in history of Twin Cities, maybe state

It's the coldest start to April in the Twin Cities' history according to climatologist and University of Minnesota professor emeritus Mark Seeley.

Temperatures have averaged only 27 degrees in the metro, which has never happened before that we know of. Records go back to 1872.
