Here are four recommendations to stream at home.

1. Little England - A sumptuous historical family drama about Greek sisters, a handsome shipping captain, and the secret that rips apart their family. It feels like a throwback to Meryl Streep sweeping dramas of the 80s. For those who want to weep, or at least watch others weep.

2. The Invitation - Eden returns from a two-year absence with a new man and a new, Zen outlook. At her welcome-back dinner party, her ex-husband gets suspicious about this newfound attitude and domestic happiness. Set entirely in one house on one evening, this thriller about paranoia, grief, and self-help will keep you on edge. Also: What an ending!

3. Skins - A landmark British series about young adults dealing with sex, drugs, and mental health. Each episode is devoted to one character's story and point-of-view. The cast of the first season has grown up to be stars of the hottest TV show on the planet, the X-Men franchise, a Best Picture, and the biggest movie so far of 2018. Addiction warning: You can't watch just one.

4. Alias Grace - Recently longlisted for a Peabody Award, this is the lesser-seen recent adaptation of a Margaret Atwood novel. Based on a true tale of a young immigrant, Grace, accused of murder and found guilty. Should she be put to death, thrown into jail for life, or be found not guilty for reasons of insanity? The six episodes follow Grace's life and the doctor who needs to determine her veracity and her future.
