Debating issues with science

A course of at University of Minnesota is seeking to hold mock trials with science and facts at the center of the conversations.

Science court, an honors course, brings students from across different majors together to research, debate, and present their findings to the public. This semester they're taking on a one-to-one technology tax that would provide every public school student with a laptop or tablet to use at school and at home.

MPR News host Kerri Miller sat down with Ellad Tadmor, one of the professors of this class, and Luke Diamond, a senior journalism student taking part in the course, to talk about how the class is going ahead of the verdict on Tuesday.
