MDH epidemiologist Melissa Heinen on what we know about the state's rising suicide rate

The rate of suicide is on the rise in Minnesota. Between 1999 and 2017, the state's suicide rate increased more than 50 percent, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
