Around the country, legions of Little League players have been taking their last practice swings and catching pop flies.
A new season is beginning, but it can be a hard-knock life in the league. Recently Al Lazard and his 11-year-old son Armando sat down for a frank conversation. It began with a question from Armando: "Dad, tell me the truth, why did you cut me off the team?"
Armando played on his father's Little League team for five years in Oakland, Calif. When their new season begins this month, coach Al Lazard and his son will be on rival teams for the first time. They were invited by Youth Radio to sit down and "talk it out."
