Elizabeth Stawicki

Elizabeth Stawicki, JD, covers health care reform for MPR News. Her reporting often appears nationally as part of collaboration between MPR/Kaiser Health News/NPR called, "Health Care in the States." Before reporting on health reform, she was MPR's legal affairs correspondent for 13 years. She's won six national awards including a Silver Gavel, the American Bar's top award for reporting on legal issues for "Tobacco on Trial," Minnesota's landmark tobacco trial; a National Headliner for investigative reporting on the commuter airline industry; and a Gracie for a documentary on Minnesota's child welfare system. She won a Knight-Wallace Fellowship at the University of Michigan in 1999-2000.
