Medical examiner releases tentative identities of 2 Mineapolis murder victims

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has released the identities of two men shot to death in Minneapolis.

One man has been tentatively identified as 25-year-old Najib A. Omar of Minneapolis. The other was tentatively identified as 27-year-old Arie Musse Jama of St. Paul.

The medical examiner says Omar died of a gunshot wound to the head. His body was found in the hallway of an apartment building in south Minneapolis. Jama died of a gunshot wound to the chest and neck. His body was found in an alley.

Police say Saturday morning's double homicide stemmed from an argument in the building. The killings did not appear to be random.
