State Rep. Paul Thissen has filed papers to run for governor in 2010.

The Minneapolis DFLer becomes the fourth Democrat to lay groundwork for a gubernatorial campaign.

Others who have filed with the state Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board are Ramsey County Attorney Susan Gaertner, state Sen. Tom Bakk and frequent candidate Ole Savior.

Thissen just won a fourth term in the Minnesota House, where he has focused on health care issues.

Thissen says he has traveled the state in recent months and is collecting ideas from residents on his campaign Web site.

Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty has said he will announce next year whether he will seek a third term.
