Police say 38 teens were cited for either underage drinking, curfew violations, or both. One person was hospitalized for detoxification.

Police say at the home they found alcohol, drugs, a shotgun, and even an arrow that had been shot through an upstairs window. They brought in a bus to hold juveniles until their parents could pick them up.

Minneapolis school district spokesman Stan Alleyne says off-campus parties like these are grounds for in-school discipline.

"If a student is inclined to do something wrong, they may be punished, they may be suspended, they may be suspended off the team for a certain amount of time," Alleyne said, adding that's exactly what happened in this case. But Alleyne would not discuss the fate of any specific student.

One police spokesman say he's happened upon big house parties like this before, but he's never seen officers take the time to write up so many tickets. Most of that paperwork, though, will remain sealed in the juvenile court system.
