Crash blocks Hwy 5 bridge between St. Paul and Ft. Snelling

A crash involving as many as eight cars has blocked traffic on the Highway 5 bridge between St. Paul and Fort Snelling.

The State Patrol has temporarily closed the bridge to clear the cars and debris.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation's Traffic Management Center says that west bound traffic from St. Paul to Fort Snelling and the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport will be completely shut down until the accident clears.
