Salmonella outbreak claims third victim

The state Health Department says a third Minnesotan has died from salmonella.

Officials say the woman was in her 80s and lived at a long-term care facility. Her name and date and place of death have not been released.

A nationwide salmonella outbreak tied to peanut butter is now blamed for seven deaths - three in Minnesota - and more than 480 cases of illness in more than 40 states.
