State lawmakers take to the road later this week to hear what Minnesotans have to say about the budget.

Legislators are holding town hall meetings in more than a dozen cities throughout state to get additional reaction to Gov. Tim Pawlenty's budget proposal.

Meanwhile, legislative leaders are still tying to figure out the impact of the federal stimulus bill.

On the policy front, election reform and medical marijuana are among the big issues getting attention this week.

Minnesota Public Radio's Tim Pugmire spoke with "Morning Edition" host Cathy Wurzer about the week ahead at the state Capitol.
