Legislators will get a report Monday on how well the state's prisoner-made products business is performing.

The report by the Office of the Legislative Auditor will look at Minncor Industries' profits and whether it competes fairly with private businesses.

Auditors also looked at whether the state Department of Corrections has enough control over Minncor's operations and finances.

In 2006, a similar audit raised questions about Minncor selling off discontinued farm equipment informally and allowing employees to accept gifts from a business partner. At the time, prison officials said they were resolving problems that came up in the audit.
