March storm winding down
(AP) - A March blizzard has moved on after dumping up to a foot of snow or more and causing at least one traffic death in northwestern Minnesota.
The National Weather Service says Red Lake Falls received 13½ inches of snow.
Other snowfall reports include 12 inches in Bemidji, 10½ inches in Millerville and 8 inches in Alexandria.
Otter Tail County authorities say one person died on a snow-covered road during the blizzard Tuesday. The victim was William Day, 60. The Otter Tail County sheriff's office says Day died after a collision on County Road 35 south of Vergas about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Interstate 94 was reopening from Fergus Falls to Fargo, N.D., but remains closed from Fargo to Jamestown, N.D. Two other highways in northwestern Minnesota also reopened this morning -- U.S. 10 from Lake Park to Moorhead and Minnesota 210 from Breckenridge to Fergus Falls.
Authorities are investigating a convoy of trucks that may have gone around the gates that blocked access to Interstate 29.
Fargo-area transportation supervisor Bruce Nord said the trucks were traveling south on the interstate. He said the Highway Patrol planned to meet them.
Nord said the trucks apparently went around storm closing gates, creating a problem for crews trying to clean up the interstate after Tuesday's heavy snow. He said officers also had to patrol road closings in Fargo because people were trying to drive around the gates.
Wind chill advisories are out for all but northeastern Minnesota. Wind chill readings will range from 25 to 35 below zero.
