70 Rochester students suspended for prank

Dozens of high school seniors rode their bikes, scooters and skateboards through the halls of Century High School as a prank, but school officials in Rochester were not amused.

Now 70 students who participated in the "Tour de Century" have been barred from Rochester public school grounds, although they will be able to attend Friday night's graduation ceremony at Century Stadium.

The Post-Bulletin of Rochester reports that eyewitnesses say the students entered the high school through a side door shortly after noon on May 29. Some blew whistles and some yelled "Seniors '09" while rolling through the high school and leaving through the front door.

A student-made video of the event appeared on the social networking site Facebook.

The students were suspended from May 29 until Friday morning.
