Shai Wosner plays a whole lotta Schubert

Shai Wosner
Shai Wosner has earned an international reputation for playing repertoire from the Baroque up to the present day, but he recently gave a beguiling performance in Saint Paul of music by only one composer, Franz Schubert.

Pianist Shai Wosner's main repertoire ranges from Bach to Ligeti. His performances often include a group of big name friends on stage, say from Lincoln Center. So giving a solo recital with repertoire from just one composer may seem a bit limiting.

But leave it to Shai to come up with a program of Schubert with enough contrast and color that one would assume Schubert's composing life was longer than his 31 years.
