Moorhead woman punched in road rage case

Police say a 25-year-old Moorhead woman was punched in the face in a road rage incident.

It happened Thursday while the woman was sitting in her car with her window partially down at a stoplight in Moorhead.

Officers arrested a 66-year-old Pelican Rapids man on suspicion of fifth-degree assault.

Police say the woman tried to merge into the right lane. The man was driving in the right lane and had to brake to avoid a collision with the woman's car.

Both drivers stopped at the traffic light. Police say the man approached the woman's car and punched her, then got back into his car and left. Police found and arrested him.
