Pelosi to visit Minneapolis youth job center Sunday

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., will be in Minnesota this weekend to visit a youth employment program receiving funds from the federal government's economic stimulus package.

During her visit, Pelosi will tour the American Indian Opportunities Industrialization Center in Minneapolis on Sunday.

She'll be joined by Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and other elected and tribal leaders.

The center runs a youth employment program that received $107,000 from the economic recovery package, according to Ellison's office.

The program offers 43 Minneapolis youth with summer jobs from Minnesota businesses.

In all, Minnesota has received $17.8 million in federal stimulus money, according to Ellison's office.
