Subway restaurant robbed in St. Anthony

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning at a Subway restaurant in St. Anthony.

Three men -- all between 16 and 19 years old --entered the restaurant at 2900½ Pentagon Drive shortly after 7:30 a.m. and pointed a black pistol at an employee, demanding money from the cash register, police said.

After the employee gave them an undisclosed amount of cash, the men fled westbound on Lowry Avenue in a dark, newer model "boxy-looking SUV," according to Lt. Jeff Scholl.

Aside from being distressed, the employee was not harmed, Scholl said.

Two of the suspects are described as wearing black baseball hats, and the third was wearing a bandana. All three men were wearing dark clothing, police said.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the St. Anthony Police Department at 763-525-6220.
