Months after RNC, 3 more protesters charged

Nine months after the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, three more protesters face new charges.

The protesters are accused of throwing items at police, and giving slingshots, wrist rockets and other items to rioters. The charges include aiding and abetting a riot, obstructing the legal process and weapons possession.

Meanwhile, a Ramsey County jury has convicted one protester of charges stemming from a Sept. 1 incident when a crowd grabbed the leg of a detained man and pelted an officer with paint, water bottles and other objects.

Twenty-two-year-old Daniel Bono, of DeKalb, Ill., was identified on a video of that incident. He was convicted Friday and will be sentenced Aug. 4.
