MSP dodges worst of airport delays
The Minneapolis airport is experiencing minimal delays even as other airports cope with a Federal Aviation Administration computer glitch.
Airport spokesman Patrick Hogan says the delays are running 15 minutes or less at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
The problems are more severe elsewhere. The FAA says Chicago O'Hare is reporting delays between 15 minutes and 29 minutes. Washington airports are seeing delays of as long as an hour and a half, and delays are also being reported at airports in the New York area.
An FAA computer system that collects airline flight plans isn't working. That means controllers have to enter flight plans manually. There's no problem with tracking planes that are in the air.
