The Minnesota Correctional Facility in Stillwater is in a full lockdown after a group of about 150 inmates refused to return to their cells.

Department of Corrections spokeswoman Shari Burt tells KARE-TV that the problem started early Sunday afternoon when one unit in the prison refused to obey orders from the guards.

She says all inmates eventually returned to their cells but are on lockdown while prison staff investigate the incident.

The Stillwater facility has about 1,400 inmates.
