Pipeline crews cleaning up oil leak in NE North Dakota

Enbridge Energy Partners says crews are wrapping up repair and cleanup work after a pipeline leak spilled about 126,000 gallons of crude oil in Pembina County in northeast North Dakota.

The cause of the leak detected late last week near Neche is still under investigation by Enbridge and pipeline regulators. Officials with the Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration and the North Dakota Department of Health visited the site Monday.

The pipeline runs from Cromer, Manitoba, to Superior, Wis. Enbridge spokeswoman Lorraine Grymala says the spill was confined to the pipeline's property, and no water or wildlife have been affected.
